Yes, You CAN Eat the Flowers!

Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival is filled with delicious foods, treats, drinks and all things FLOWERS!  Did you know the beautiful assortment of flowers atop many of the dishes and drinks are actually edible?

Each orchid or nasturtium, served on assorted dishes, came from a greenhouse with no insects, pesticides or other contaminates.

They are stored in a refrigerator in plastic containers. Dollywood carefully plans with their suppliers to ensure the flowers are used promptly. Edible flowers actually have an expiration date just like produce in the grocery store!

During Flower & Food Festival (ends June 7) you will see edible flowers used to garnish entrees, drinks and desserts to accent the product colors and provide a compliment of bright green, yellow and orange hues.

Insider Tip

A Flower & Food Festival Dining Pass provides five different food items including an additional discount for Dollywood Season Passholders!

I bet I know what you’re wondering – what do they taste like?  Really, they don’t have a strong flavor, but it’s an interesting fun texture (and color)!

Speaking of fun treats, be sure to stop by Spotlight Bakery for a beautiful array of cookies and cupcakes featuring the vibrant flower designs!
