When visiting Dollywood, there are two things that are certain: you’re going to walk away with tons of fun memories and a full belly. As a breakfast-lover, I want to help you start your day off right when you are planning a trip to either the theme park or water park. Here are some AMAZING options!
Before You Arrive
If you are anywhere near the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and want to eat before you arrive, I recommend stopping at Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Café. This gets two thumbs up for food and for ambiance! Who doesn’t want to eat a filling breakfast of eggs and pancakes while also getting serenaded by animatronic chickens? It really is so much fun! The food at Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Café is incredibly good, priced very well and the portions are HUGE! It is located beside The Comedy Barn on the Parkway. You can’t miss it!
Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa
Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa offers a couple of different options for breakfast, and they are for resort guests and non-guests alike.
Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery offers a huge and hearty breakfast buffet. It is all you care to eat for one price. Made-to-order omelets, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, pastries, breads, muffins, fruit and just about anything else breakfast-related you can think of! The options are almost endless at Song & Hearth!
If big and hearty isn’t how you take your breakfast, just make a quick stop at The DM Pantry. It’s located just off the lobby. Here, you’ll find Starbucks coffee along with breakfast sandwiches, pastries AND Dollywood’s cinnamon bread! Grab what you want and then enjoy it by the fireplace in the lobby or in a rocker overlooking the pool and mountains. They also have grab-and-go yogurt, fruit cups and more!
Personally, I am not opposed to a sweet treat for breakfast. If you are just looking for a pick-me-up when you arrive at the parks at opening, both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country have that covered! You are on vacation, so calories don’t count, right?!
Spotlight Bakery at Dollywood (just inside the gates) serves coffee, so grab a cup and a pastry (like the ginormous cinnamon rolls), fresh-baked bread or even a slice of the 25 lb. apple pie. You can get Dollywood’s famous cinnamon bread here, or you could head on up to the Grist Mill to get it from the original cinnamon bread location.
Dollywood’s Splash Country
At Dollywood’s Splash Country, you won’t find hot coffee, but you can find it bottled! Get in line at BeaverTails right at 11 a.m. for your favorite coffee and a Killaloe Sunrise BeaverTail. These hand-stretched fried-dough pastries were dreamed up in Canada, and there, the Killaloe option is on the breakfast menu! It’s a pastry coated in cinnamon-sugar with a fresh citrus squeeze.
I hope this helps you plan your day at Dollywood or Dollywood’s Splash Country better! Now you have no reason to start off your big day hungry!!
