What to Know about Breakfast with Santa

There are two things in life that I really enjoy (outside of my family) and that is breakfast food and anything Christmas-related! I love a good breakfast buffet. Throw in an omelet station, prime rib, a doughnut wall, a chocolate fountain and Santa, and I am one happy girl! So, when I found out that Song & Hearth at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa offered Breakfast with Santa, I knew we had to go! Here are some tips to ensure you have the most fun at this resort holiday event:

1. Arrive Early! You don’t have to stay at the resort to enjoy this event. There are no reservations for Breakfast with Santa. So, expect to wait. However, you will want to arrive early to enjoy the Christmas entertainment. There is music and games to keep your family entertained while you wait! Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is also beautifully decorated, so take some time to walk around and get in the Christmas spirit!

Insider Tip

The breakfast is open from 7:30 -11 a.m. We attended the very first breakfast of the 2019 season. There was a waitlist for seating until about 10 a.m. and then the crowd thinned out after that.

2. Dress Christmas-y! I saw tons of kids in their cute Christmas pajamas! Of course, it is breakfast! Besides getting pictures with Santa, there are so many places in the resort to take cute holiday photos including in front of Christmas trees, beside a roaring fire, or even in a rocker on the porch.

3. Bring Your Appetite! The breakfast is a buffet and there is a TON of food! There is a station for made-to-order omelets and eggs, prime rib, different types of pancakes, all of the breakfast meats and potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels and more!

For those of you with a sweet tooth there are muffins, danishes, a doughnut wall with toppings to choose from and a chocolate fountain! Drinks are included and each child gets a souvenir cup! Don’t forget to pick up a gingerbread cookie and hot chocolate on your way out!

Insider Tip

Song & Hearth is very knowledgeable about food intolerances and allergies. Let you waitress know when you are seated, and a chef will come talk with your family. There is also a gluten free station with toast and muffins!

4. Have fun and be patient! Santa comes around to each table to visit and take pictures. The wait staff and Santa’s elves keep track of where they have been and where they are going, so do not worry that you will be skipped if you get up for more food! The elves love to have their picture made too, so snap away!

Insider Tip

The photo stand to view the professional Santa photos is on the 2nd floor in the lobby toward the conference rooms. You can purchase your pictures for a reasonable price or you can add them to your Dollywood Photo Pass if you are headed on to the park for the day.

The Santa Breakfast at Song & Hearth was the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit! Start a new tradition this Christmas. I know we did! The breakfast will be offered all three December Saturdays before Christmas. Make memories that will last a lifetime!

Insider Tip

If you miss Santa at breakfast, there are two other Dollywood opportunities: you can find the man in red in the lobby of Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa every evening between now and Christmas. And, you can find him in Santa Land in Country Fair at Dollywood.
