What to Bring to Dollywood’s Splash Country

A day spent at Dollywood’s Splash Country is nothing short of an amazing time! Dollywood’s water park is beautiful and full of fun rides and activities for family members of all ages. It also has some of the highest health and safety ratings in the industry, and the training of the lifeguards and staff is top-notch.  The only thing that could mess up your trip is forgetting something you might need, so here is a list of some of the must-haves!

Don’t Forget

Water shoes– Don’t forget to wear shoes that can get wet and are easy to take on and off!  Walking around all day on hot concrete can take the fun away FAST! While you can’t wear your shoes on all rides, you can easily hold them as you careen wildly down the slides.

Sunscreen- Make sure to apply your sunscreen liberally and often. The bright sun reflecting off the beautiful water can be a recipe for disaster if you don’t bring—and use—sunscreen.

Towels- You’ll want to dry off your family after a day of fun. Whether you set up camp in lounge chairs or keep your towels in a locker, you’ll be glad you have them.

Sunglasses– Sunglasses are GREAT to have on a bright day. Having a strap for your glasses is the preferred way to go, but you can also hold your sunglasses in your hand when you go down slides.

Money– Be sure to think through what you’ll need to purchase for the day: snacks, meals, souvenirs and/or lockers.

Bag– You will need something to carry it all in!

Swim Diapers– If you have little ones in diapers, please make sure they have swim diapers!

Insider Tip

Bring along a waterproof case or dry bag on a lanyard to keep your phone, some money and your passes in. This way you can take pictures throughout the park (#dollywoodsplash) and you don’t have to constantly go back to your locker when you want a snack!

Don’t Worry About

Personal flotation devices– This includes noodles and floats. Dollywood’s Splash Country offers life vests of all sizes for the non-swimmers in your family. (Puddle jumpers are welcome)

Food and drinks– For health safety, outside food and drinks are not permitted to be brought into the park. There are plenty of options from hamburgers and sandwiches to salads and treats.

Insider Tip

Complimentary cups of ice water are offered at food locations around the park.

So, bring what you need and leave what you don’t, and you will be so prepared for the BEST day at Dollywood’s Splash Country!

Insider Tip

Most of what you might need can also be purchased in the park if you accidentally leave something at home.
