Re-Creating Dollywood Memories

Family vacations are all about making memories.  Over the years, my family has shared many special memories at Dollywood. I have been visiting since I was a young girl: first traveling with my parents and grandparents, then I came while dating my future husband, and then we continued to visit and make even more memories with our daughters. Recently, it hit me—we should recreate those moments!

So, imagine… it is 1989 and you are stealing a kiss, or sharing a cool lemonade with your future spouse.

Then imagine that same young man now as a father, enjoying rides with the kiddos while mom takes pictures.

How about two sisters sharing a beverage at Red’s Drive-In?

Now, imagine those same girls visiting with their fiancée and husband.

Fast forward and now one of those girls even has a baby bump!

We had a great time looking at the older pictures and then trying to recreate the photo. If you, too, have been coming to Dollywood for decades, I encourage you to try it. You will be surprised by not only what has changed but what has stayed the same. Are you up for the challenge?  We’d love to see your re-creations. Tag them on social with #dollywood.
