All About the Pre-K Imagination Season Pass

Dollywood introduced the free Pre-K Imagination Season Pass program a couple of years ago and it was a big hit with parents. In fact, it looks like it’s here to stay. So, for the 2022 season, if you have a child born in 2017 or 2018, you can register them for a Pre-K Imagination Season Pass anytime between now and June 26, 2022.

What is a Pre-K Imagination Season Pass?

A Pre-K Imagination Season Pass is a FREE pass for any child born in 2017 or 2018. With this pass, the child will get free admission to both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country throughout the 2022 operating season, which runs from March 12, 2022 through Jan. 1, 2023.

How do I get a Pre-K Imagination Season Pass for my child?

Getting a pass for your preschooler is easy! Simply go to Dollywood.com and register your child anytime between now and June 26, 2022. During the registration process, you will add a Pre-K Imagination Pass to your cart and complete the checkout process, but no money will be owed. There are no hidden costs for the Pre-K Imagination Pass!

Once you have registered, bring your child, your child’s pass registration (which will be in your email) and a copy of their birth certificate or passport to the Dollywood front gate. The hosts at the ticket booth will be able to process the pass, which includes getting your child’s photograph taken and receiving an official Dollywood Season Pass card. Now just scan your child’s pass at the park entrance and enjoy all the fun Dollywood has to offer!

Note that if your child was born in 2017 and had a Pre-K Imagination Pass for the 2021 season, he or she will need to be re-registered and re-activated for the 2022 season.

Insider Tip

You can find a ticket booth at the park entrance coming from either the standard parking lot or the preferred parking lot. If you park in preferred parking, you can process your child’s pass at this ticketing location instead of proceeding to the main gate.

Who should register for a Pre-K Imagination Season Pass?

If you have a child a born in 2017 or 2018 and you think there is any possibility that you will visit Dollywood in 2022, you should register for a Pre-K Imagination Pass. Although the registration deadline has been extended into summer this year, it still ends before the popular Harvest Festival and Smoky Mountain Christmas. If a trip to Dollywood is on your family’s wish list for 2022, go ahead and register to ensure you do not miss the deadline. After all, there is no cost associated with registering your Pre-K child, and you can wait until you visit to activate the pass.

Even if your child will not turn 4 until later in the 2022 season, you should still register now for his or her Pre-K Imagination Season Pass. While children younger than 4 are free, your child will need a pass or a ticket once he or she turns 4 years old. Registering now for your child’s Pre-K Imagination Pass will ensure that they can continue to enjoy Dollywood all season long without incurring any additional cost.

What about the rest of my family?

While your Pre-K Imagination Passholder can get into both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country for free unlimited visits, the other members of your party will need a ticket or a Season Pass to enter the park with your preschooler. Since your child will be able to visit both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country for free, I recommend you get either Diamond or Two-Park Gold Season Passes for everyone else. Season Passes are always the best value and will allow you to get the most out of your child’s Pre-K Imagination Season Pass!

Insider Tip

With the new 2022 Season Pass structure, Gold and Diamond Season Passholders will have access to Golden Hours. During the first hour of park operation each day during the 2022 season, Gold and Diamond Passholders can access the TimeSaver lines on TimeSaver attractions, which is a huge benefit! Many Pre-K kids are tall enough to ride at least a few of the TimeSaver attractions, and Pre-K Imagination Passholders will be able to enter the TimeSaver lines during Golden Hours if they are accompanied by a Gold or Diamond Passholder. Remember that Pre-K Imagination Pass kids are the only exception to the rule that every person using TimeSaver lines as part of Golden Hour must have their own Gold or Diamond Season Pass, which is a great reason for the whole family to go [at least] Gold in 2022!
