I love Dollywood. And, I love telling you about Dollywood. Because I work here, you would expect that.
So, we thought it would be beneficial for our guests to hear from other guests. That’s why we have a Dollywood Insiders panel. These folks are guests who don’t get a paycheck from us, but love to share their experiences.
We just selected our next panel of Insiders, and I’m excited to introduce them to you. We have representation from Nashville, Knoxville, the Tri-Cities, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Birmingham, Asheville, and Charlotte. There are stay-at-home mamas, entrepreneurs, farmers, coaster enthusiasts, a college professor, a grandma, bloggers, and writers. From single with no kids, to blended families, and adoptive families, we think you’ll find a perspective that’s relatable as you plan your next Dollywood vacation.

I know it’s always fun to learn behind-the-scenes info. Well, I’ll tell you that this 2018-2019 panel bonded during their orientation because I marched them around our resort, water park and theme park in the rain. At times it was a sprinkle. But, as you can tell from some of the pictures and videos, at other times it was a hard, steady rain.
Given that our Insiders come from all over the region, getting a group like this together isn’t easy. We had to stick to the plan and get it all done—rain or shine.
I love the smiles you see. We laughed and ducked under cover as often as possible. We held umbrellas and moved at the last possible second to salvage whatever hairstyle/makeup/dry clothes we could for the camera.
Good thing Dollywood is fun no matter the weather! Despite getting wet, this group of 15 enjoyed good food, the attractions*, and were officially inducted as Dollywood Insiders.
*Did you know that visiting a theme park or water park on a drizzly day is one of the BEST times to go? You don’t fight crowds and get to choose whatever seat you like on the best attractions!
A good time was had by all.
