Can you believe spring break is just around the corner?! When I asked the kids where they wanted to go for spring break it was a unanimous, “Dollywood!” If you don’t have plans yet, you do now! Dollywood is an easy last-minute trip. Here are a few tips when planning your Dollywood spring break.
Enjoy Festival of Nations that falls during spring break (March 16 – April 14). This is an annual celebration of food, music, culture and entertainment from all over the world. I am super excited to taste the authentic recipes from celebrity Chef Pepin that will be offered at Festival of Nations this year and to see two amazing shows not to be missed, Cuba Vibra! and Drumstruck.
Cuba Vibra! In only 45 minutes, this Havana-based company will celebrate the development of Cuban music and dance from the 1950s to the present with 18 dances and an on-stage big band.
Drumstruck Billed as the first interactive drum-theatre experience, this show presents traditional African beats.
Consider staying at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa to maximize all the destination has to offer. You will receive TimeSaver Passes that ensure you won’t have to wait in long lines and access to the trolley that drops you off and picks you up in front of the park. The resort has wonderful indoor and outdoor pools, Camp DW and several fun activities like s’mores and bedtime stories are also available. ***Make sure to book now before rooms are gone!
Make reservations to see Dolly Parton’s Stampede. This show is so much fun for everyone! The incredible horse riding stunts, special effects, music and food make it one of our family’s favorite activities. ***I would recommend buying tickets in advance because the show will likely sell out.
Along with Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have many wonderful experiences to offer. From hiking, museums, dinner theater and so much more, there are plenty of things to see and do during your vacation in the Smoky Mountains.
See you this spring!
