Dollywood is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year (they just won the Golden Ticket Award for Most Beautiful Park!) and has an abundance of great photo ops. However, there are a few occasions where there are some extra special places to take those Instagram-worthy pictures. Their Harvest Festival is one of those times, and I am here to show you some don’t-miss spots. Some are right out in the open, and some are a little less obvious. So, whether you are hardcore about taking photos “for the ‘gram” or just want a decent family picture with a really fun background, this list is for you!
Each photo spot also has the location of where it can be found around the park. Be sure to download the Dollywood app for your next visit, so you can easily get from place to place for all the picture-taking fun. Enjoy these Instagram-able Dollywood Harvest Festival spots! Happy photo taking!
Showstreet
This one may seem super obvious, but the Dollywood sign as you enter the park is all decked out for fall and is a great spot to get a fun family photo before the day begins.
Timber Canyon
From Showstreet, if you go left, you will be greeted by this beauty before going up the hill to Timber Canyon.
Keep heading up the hill, and you will be greeted by numerous photo ops! I am not posting them all here, but have your camera ready–there are a bunch! What I love about this area is that it is shaded so you don’t have to deal with a lot of harsh light in your pictures.
Wildwood Grove
We love this area, and again, there are so many spots to choose from! Here are just a couple that you will encounter. I feel like the butterfly is just a must-do! The sunflowers are fun, because you can sit on the wall for some fun poses that may be a little different than just standing in front of a backdrop. It makes things a little more interesting.
Wilderness Pass
As you head toward Wilderness Pass, you will run into what I consider the big displays. This is where you will find the iconic pumpkin man, pumpkin tree and spider pumpkin. These guys look great at night, too!
Craftsman’s Valley
This is my favorite part of the park, and the Instagram-able spots here do not disappoint! Here you will find a super-cool guitar setup and a quilt of pumpkins. Both make great photo backdrops!
The Village
The Village is where you will find several really cute pumpkin people. We like to take fun pictures sitting on the bench with them or chatting with them. There is even one in front of the train that makes a really great photo!
This is in no way an exhaustive list of every Instagram-able Dollywood Harvest Festival spot, but it should get you started on some great picture memories for Instagram posts or just to frame and hang on the wall of your home for years to come.
