Congratulations! You’ve upgraded to a Season Pass at Dollywood for 2018, and you’re almost all set for a year full of roller coasters, cinnamon bread, and world-class entertainment as often as you want.
Did you purchase your passes online? If you’re like me, you squealed in excitement when your temporary Season Pass tickets arrived in the mail and your neighbors got a chuckle at your reaction. So what’s next?
Dollywood opening day is March 16, and standing in line for pass processing is probably not at the top of your to-do list. But with just a few steps in the days leading up to opening day, you can skip that long line and waltz right into the park (after visiting the bag check station and scanning your shiny new season pass, that is.)
Beginning March 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or Sunday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., you can swing by Dollywood’s front gate and get your photos taken for your official Season Pass. If it’s more convenient, you can do the same thing at Dollywood’s remote ticket office—the yellow building at Traffic Light #8 in Pigeon Forge.
If you renewed the same pass as you had last year, you won’t even need a new photo! You’ll be enjoying your favorite Dollywood perks right off the bat. If you purchased new passes or changed the type of pass (examples- Dollywood Season Pass to a Super Season Pass or an Adult Season Pass to a Senior Season Pass) then you WILL need to be processed.
If you don’t have a chance to swing by before your first park visit of the season, you can use your temporary pass (the Print at Home ticket if you purchased online) to get through the turnstiles. Then you can get your photo taken at the Season Pass Exchange Center (beside Dreamsong Theater in the Adventures in Imagination area) sometime during your first day at the park.
Once you’ve processed your paper ticket into your official Season Pass, you’re set for the season! Opening day is full of exciting events, with special offers for Season Passholders. [Stay tuned for more info!]
Start your season off right, skip the lines, and I’ll see you around the park!
