I recently took a trip with the kids to Dollywood and the beautiful Pigeon Forge area for some end-of-summer break fun. Grandma came along too!
As a mom of two young kids and as a registered nurse, I have to admit that I’ve had reservations in the past about water parks. Health standards are a big priority for me and my family. While Splash Country is clearly well-maintained, managed, and clean, it was what I learned behind-the-scenes that completely put my mind at ease. I found it very interesting to see how Splash Country monitors and maintains their health and safety standards and I thought you might as well.
As a Dollywood Insider, I had the unique opportunity to learn about the high level of quality control measures that Splash Country upholds. During this behind-the-scenes glimpse, staff at Splash Country showed me how they strive to exceed health standards. How do they do this? All 16 bodies of water are tested every hour. That’s right, every 60 minutes! With close monitoring both by well-trained staff and state-of-the-art technology, health and safety levels are continuously checked throughout the entire water park.
Staff training is also a key component of this well-run water park and I enjoyed learning that Splash Country’s staff are properly trained, have to meet specific expectations, and are regularly tested. It’s no surprise having noticed how the Dollywood Company nurtures their hosts, staff, and talent. They take care of their theme park and each other and it shows by offering a safe and welcoming environment to guests.
We had a fantastic day at Splash Country and my kid’s exclaimed it was their favorite day of our trip.
