Let me tell you about my family’s visit to Hatfield & McCoy’s Dinner Feud—the show did NOT disappoint. When we arrived, we were so excited! The atmosphere is well-themed, both inside and out. There are lots of fun props and décor to use as photo ops. If you walk around the building, you’ll even see live rabbits, goats, and chickens!
Now, let’s talk about how great our seats were! The majority of the meal is actually served BEFORE the show. We loved this for several reasons- we didn’t have to eat in the dark, we could chat, take pictures, and then really enjoy the show.
Also, I loved that we sat around a table rather than in a row. It almost felt like a normal night around our table at home. The tables are arranged so that everyone has a clear view of the action on stage.
So, how’s the food? In one word: FANTASTIC. To kick off the feast, our server brought bread and butter with creamy southern-style soup. My husband commented it was the best soup he’d ever had (and he doesn’t even like soup!) After the server brought our drinks, the food started flowing almost immediately. We enjoyed fried chicken (crisp to perfection!), barbecue pulled pork, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and a delicious pudding for dessert.
The entertainment is top-notch, wholesome fun. I don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say there’s a whole lot of mischief and silliness with a very happy ending. The whole show is interactive, complete with a kiss-cam and also a moment on stage where ALL children in the audience are invited to join in a song and dance on stage. My six-year-old had a blast. She is still talking about it.
Is it a good value? Yes, absolutely! With each ticket comes an exciting show, exceptional dinner service, interactive entertainment, a full feast, soft drink and dessert included! Many times, as parents, we take our children to dinner and wonder why we ever left the house at all. However, parents who are headed to the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud can rest assured their family will be thoroughly entertained and well-fed.
