Plan a Day at the Resort to Enjoy the Amenities

Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa has so much to offer. It often is booked because of its proximity to the theme park and water park, complimentary trolley transportation and complimentary TimeSaver Passes. However, there are so many more amenities that make this resort a resort! In fact, I encourage you to book a stay here and plan a day of your trip just hanging out and enjoying all the experiences and opportunities for fun.

Here are 10 things you should do to maximize your Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa experience:

1. Enjoy the pools!

No matter what time of the year you choose to stay, there will always be a pool available for you! Whether it is The Swimming Hole and splash pad outside during the warm months, or The Garden House Indoor Pool for the cold ones, you can always count on swimming during your stay!

Insider Tip

Don’t forget the hot tub, which is located at The Swimming Hole. It’s open year-round for guests who are 16 years old and older!

2. Eat, drink and be merry!

You have zero excuse to be hungry here. Song and Hearth: A Southern Eatery is an all-you-can-eat buffet open for breakfast, dinner and Sunday brunch. The Lounge offers both inside and outside dining. DM Pantry has baked goods, pizza, ice cream, Starbucks coffee and grab-and-go items. There also is poolside and in-room dining!

3. Spend some down time at The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort!

Enjoy anything from a mani/pedi to a relaxing massage or facial! Make sure you stop by to find out the specials for the month. They always are changing and go hand-in-hand with the seasons.

4. Hit up the Game Room!

It’s a favorite place for the boys in my life. From air hockey to Guitar Hero, the Game Room has a lot fun waiting for your crew.

Insider Tip

If games are your thing, there are lots of options! Look for checkers in The Living Rooms by the lobby for corn hole near The Swimming Hole.

5. Bring your little ones to Camp DW.

Check the schedule each day to find out what they have to offer. The activities are always changing. (This is an opportunity to create family memories. Children must be accompanied by an adult.)

6. Buy a souvenir or two at Pokeberry Lane.

My personal favorite items are the Dolly Parton quote coffee mugs!

7. Never miss a workout at the resort’s Fitness Center.

The Fitness Center is well-equipped for any exercise you might enjoy.

8. Stop at the playground.

The playground is a fun place to dry off after swimming—or to burn off some excess energy before bed!

9. S’mores. Need I say more??

S’mores are complimentary each evening (weather permitting) at the wood-burning firepit by The Swimming Hole.

Insider Tip

The resort offers gluten free S’mores, which are awesome for gluten-free people like me!

10. Bedtime Stories before bed are a must.

Bedtime Stories are held each evening weather permitting in the barn every night at 8 p.m.

Really, there is so much more! Some of my personal other favorite things to do at the resort are grabbing a cup of Dolly’s Pink Lemonade or apple cider depending on the season in the lobby from 4 – 6 p.m., enjoying my coffee in a rocker on the porch, hanging with friends or grabbing a board game by a Living Room fireplace and eating a meal by the pool! And DON’T miss all the Dolly touches throughout the resort! DreamMore Resort and Spa has you covered whether you are on an adults-only trip or spending some time with your family. I can’t wait to hear all about the memories you make there!
