Some might say that there’s no way you can save money or stick to a budget going to a theme park and that you should just be prepared to spend a lot of cash in exchange for a day of fun. I would have to disagree. I was given a mission and I chose to accept it: a strict $30 limit to spend during a day at Dollywood.
I was at somewhat of an advantage from the start because I have a Gold Season Pass, but I wouldn’t consider this cheating the system. It’s smart planning.
Insider Tip
I didn’t go totally crazy and buy everything I saw (and smelled), but I was never hungry or thirsty, and even came home with a souvenir. Even though I was just buying for myself, similar techniques can be used for families and big groups. It could even be a fun game for the family to play to see who can get the most items spending the least amount of money. Follow along with me as I show you how I have a day at Dollywood on a budget.
P.S. All the prices listed are what I paid AFTER the Gold Pass discount. It really helped me out!
